Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December, 1991. He is the father of Manny James, as well as Patty James of mixed race. The mother of Manny James is caucasian while his father is Nigerian. He graduated in 2010 from Sanderson High School and furthered into Wake Forest University where he received a Bachelor's degree from Economics in 2015. James became famous after he became a Reality Actor in The Bachelorette. James was picked in the year 2020 to be the next bachelor on The Bachelor season 25, being the show's initial African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James seemed to be the perfect match for the role as his appealing, well-rounded, and an impressive height. Rachael Krakconnell, whom he had chosen as his partner for the rest of the season. He teamed up with the well-known professional dancer Arnold in 2021 to compete on season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold were ranked 12th.

When she was still at the prep school Sarah was bit by the acting bug from a young age. The passion for acting began when the drama teacher she was with saw her jogging across the lawn in order to get to her the field hockey game on time. He told her she could leave the rehearsal to be part of Richard III's acting troupe.
